Demi McBeath

Greetings and thanks for visiting "That Gym on Grandview" website--a wonderful first step to getting inspired to be the best version of yourself! My name is Demi McBeath. I asked my clients to provide words to describe me for my introduction. Here’s what they came up with: “dedicated,” “enthusiastic,” “professional,” “empathetic,” and “fun.” It’s those qualities that I want to bring to each and every session with all current and future clients.

I’m an ACE Certified personal trainer and coach. I am most grateful for working with a fun, diverse, and committed group of clientele: from one client who was intimidated by the elliptical machine (she said it looked like a Star Wars robot!) to another client who is training for an Iron Man. I appreciate collaborating with clients at all levels. It’s my goal to establish positive and effective working relationships, while maintaining goals and timeline expectations…all with a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and a steadfast work ethic.

My three children—ranging from 10 to 1—keep me uber busy. I deeply understand the importance of keeping bodies healthy and in shape during and after pregnancy. In any circumstance, I work with each client to develop a personal fitness plan based on his or her needs including, but not limited to, meal planning, exercise regimen, and lifestyle modification. I motivate and counsel by being positive—because guilt and threats don’t endure. I emphasize fitness and exercise with clients to reach their personal goals. Also, I’m committed to staying up to date and in the know regarding all current health trends by reading books, magazines, and attending conferences.

I am a Fitness Advisor to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. In 2009, I got the opportunity to tailor a fitness program for medical professionals to fight aches, pains, and serious injuries as they perform grueling and lengthy procedures. I also consulted with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons to ascertain the most common physical problems encountered to develop a multidimensional plan regarding the specific needs of neurosurgeons. In the spring of 2009, I presented the plan to the National Annual Conference of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons in San Diego. I also was invited to present to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons annual conference in New Orleans and to produce a story for Neurosugeons' Lifestyle Journal. I was featured in The Columbus Dispatch and This Week Community Newspapers in June 2009.

I am a trainer with a strong sense of pride, responsibility, collaboration, and dependability. I am proactive. I am a lifelong learner. I love to share ideas and to listen deeply to people. My passion is fitness. I am dedicated to empower, to motivate and to challenge my clients to achieve their goals—from fitting into that size 4 wedding dress to quitting a decade-long smoking habit. Call me. Text me. Email me. Let’s make a plan. I’ll make working out work out for you, your goals, and your schedule. It’ll be fun. And it will be transformative.
